General MLA Guidelines

Again, consider the container guidelines found on the Works Cited format tab:

  • Author and/or editor names (if available); last names first. In this example, there is no author but we list the title of the image.

  • "Article name in quotation marks."

  • Title of the website, project, or book in italics,

  • Date of publication.

  • A DOI (digital object identifier) or the URL (uniform resource locator).

  • Accessed (day month year).
